Stockholm, Sweden, October 15, 2026 – Symcel opens a Research Support Program to help academic researchers strengthen funding applications involving biocalorimetry and gain access to advanced isothermal microcalorimetry instrumentation. The program provides scientific and technical support together with matching funding.

Symcel instruments have been used in more than 80 scientific publications, spanning research areas including biofilms, antimicrobial research, clinical microbiology, environmental microbiology, food research and eukaryotic cell metabolism.

Director of R&D Applications, Dr. Kasper Kragh, said: “There is exciting research taking place in universities around the world where biocalorimetry can provide new insights into biological activity. With this program, we want to support more researchers in bringing the technology into their work and exploring new applications and scientific areas.”

The program covers the calScreener, calScreener+ and caloTrace platforms, allowing researchers to select the system best suited to their application and experimental requirements. Eligible participants can receive matching funding on instrumentation and accessory costs.

The program is open to academic and university institutions until December 16, 2026.
