GRANT SUPPORT
From research idea to funding
- Scientific guidance
- Generate preliminary data
- Select instrument and accessories
- Access technical documentation
- Prepare your application
Turn your research idea into a strong funding application with support from Symcel. Whether you are looking to introduce isothermal microcalorimetry into your research or expand its use in an existing project, we can support you with funding opportunities, preliminary data and the scientific and technical resources needed to build your case.
Supporting your grant application
A strong grant application requires the right scientific rationale, supporting data, technical setup and budget. We can help you build these key elements for your proposed research.
-
Scientific guidance – Our application scientist can help you identify relevant publications, supporting data and technical information to build a well-supported research proposal.
-
The right setup – We help you select the instrument, configuration and workflow best suited to your research and provide the technical specifications and quotation needed for your application.
-
Supporting data – Testing of your samples at our laboratory to demonstrate proof of concept and generate preliminary data for your proposed research.
-
Budget planning – We provide instrument, consumable and service costs to help you build a realistic budget for your funding application.
Build your scientific case
Clearly explaining why a specific technology is needed can be an important part of an instrumentation or research grant. We can provide information on the principles and capabilities of isothermal microcalorimetry, relevant applications, comparisons with alternative approaches, and scientific publications supporting the technology. We can also test your samples to demonstrate proof of concept and generate preliminary data to support your application.
Choose the right IMC platform
Symcel offers two isothermal microcalorimetry (IMC) platforms to support different research needs.
-
The calScreener provides parallel measurement across 32 test positions at 30–40 °C, while calScreener+ combines this throughput with a wider 20–40 °C temperature range and superior thermal and signal stability.
-
The caloTrace offers the highest flexibility with 30 independently operated channels, a 20–40 °C temperature range and large sample volume testing.
Our team can help you identify the system and configuration best suited to your research and funding application.
Research Support Program
Symcel has opened a Research Support Program for academic and university institutions, offering scientific and technical support together with matching funding of instrumentation and accessories.
The program is open until December 16, 2026.
