ALS’s new testing service using the calScreener+ biocalorimeter system, introduces a game-changing approach to sterility detection. This collaboration highlights the growing demand for faster, more sensitive sterility testing methods as the CGT industry continues to expand.
A Paradigm Shift in Sterility Testing
Traditional sterility testing methods are often time-consuming and challenging for advanced biological therapies. The calScreener’s microcalorimetric technology detects microbial activity in real-time by measuring metabolic heat, enabling earlier and more sensitive detection compared to conventional methods. This enables the calScreener to significantly reduce detection times, from 14 days with traditional testing to just 3 days. This improves product safety, accelerates release timelines, and supports regulatory compliance.
